- As you may have noticed, the Tips database could benefit from a new tip or two. In an effort to rectify this situation, I asked team members to send me their tips. As you can see by peeking at the Tips page, Shana Priwer did a great job of entering tips.
Yan Schober, a Product Designer on our team also e-mailed me a bunch of tips. Because he went to great lengths to produce visuals to go along with them, I thought that I'd share them with you in this forum. Without further ado - here are Yan's tips:
1. Create separate layers for your Area Fill objects
This will make it easier for you to select them later, or adjust their draw order relative to objects on other layers.
2. Use Block Styles in the Styles palette to edit the appearance of your blocks – no need to explode.

3. Hold the SHIFT key while creating area fill objects to create single objects.

4. Hold ALT key to create or modify objects from their center.

5. Resize Styles: Rather than adjust each style parameter individually, use the Resize Style dialog to resize all style parameters in one step.

And we'll all get to know Yan better when we release the next Technology Preview.
