  • Mike actually cdescrtibed the process they used to me in an e-mail. Here is what he said

    "We are in the process of creating our block libraries and we cheated a bit by scanning in a few of the hand drawn symbols for the time being.

    All rendering was done in Impression but we found that exporting the trees to photoshop as their own layer and using the blending tools in that program gave us a bit more control over the transparency and readability."
